Description- XLPE insulated, PVC sheathed cables, both armoured and unarmoured, are commonly used power cables. XLPE (Cross-linked polyethylene) provides excellent electrical insulation and heat resistance, while the PVC (polyvinyl chloride) sheath offers mechanical protection and insulation from the environment. Armoured versions add an extra layer of protection against mechanical damage, making them suitable for harsh environments, while unarmoured cables are typically used in less demanding applications.
