Description :- All Aluminium Alloy Conductors (AAAC) are extensively used for primary and secondary transmission in bare overhead distribution and transmission lines (11 kV to 800 kV lines) and HV substations. Also, usable in highly polluted industrial areas and coastal regions due to corrosion resistance.

- AAAC conductors combine good conductivity, high strength, and superior corrosion resistance, making them especially useful for urban, coastal, and industrial overhead power lines where long service life and reliability are essential.
Features :-
- High Strength-to-Weight Ratio – Lighter than ACSR with good tensile strength.
- Excellent Corrosion Resistance – Better suited for coastal, industrial, and polluted environments.
- Good Conductivity – Around 52% IACS (higher than ACSR for equal weight).
- Longer Service Life – Reduced corrosion and sagging over time.
- Lower Line Losses – Smoother surface reduces corona and radio interference
Technical details :-
- Material :- Aluminium-Magnesium-Silicon (Al-Mg-Si) alloy, heat-treated.
- Conductivity :- ~52% IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard).
- Tensile Strength :- Higher than AAC, slightly lower than ACSR, but with better corrosion resistance.
- Sizes :- 7 strands to 61 strands (up to 1000+ mm²).
- Operating Temperature :- Continuous up to 85–90°C (depending on design)
